X Bangkok is an X Japan tribute band from Thailand with a Japanese vocalist. The band was formed to keep the spirit of X Japan alive in Thailand and, if possible, around the world.
2025
X Bangkok was founded in January 2025 by Haruki (the band’s drummer, pianist, and leader) while he was living in Japan. He is a huge fan of X Japan and Yoshiki. His goal was to show the world that an X Japan tribute band from outside Japan could share the passion and spirit of X Japan with fans everywhere.
In February 2025, Yoshiki also reposted X Bangkok’s debut announcement on X (Twitter).
In April 2025, the band held its first concert in Bangkok titled “X Bangkok Live in Bangkok.” Yoshiki also reposted a photo from X Bangkok’s concert on X (Twitter).
In May 2025, the band appeared on the television program Song Hunter.
In July 2025, Haruki appeared on the YouTube program Hitstory, where he talked about the history of X Japan.
In November 2025, Haruki appeared as a special guest at the X祭り (X-Festival) in Tokyo, Japan.
In late 2025, X Bangkok organized a Thailand tour titled “X Bangkok Thailand Tour 2025” with five planned venues: Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Hat Yai, and Bangkok as the final stop. However, the Hat Yai performance was canceled due to severe flooding.
On New Year’s Eve 2025, X Bangkok appeared on Yoshiki’s online program Yoshiki Channel, where they spoke with Yoshiki and performed “Endless Rain” and “Say Anything.”
2026
In February 2026, X Bangkok announced that they had parted ways with former vocalist Oilz.
In April 2026, Haruki performed as a special guest of X-Atsugi at 約束ライブ (Promise Live) in Kanagawa, Japan.
In June 2026, X Bangkok announced their new vocalist, Masa, a Japanese vocalist who truly loves X Japan and gave the band new strength to continue forward. And announced two live performance “X Bangkok Returns Live in Bangkok” and “X Bangkok Live in Japan – Tokyo -“
